Hello Evergreen Residents,

I hope all are safe and doing well. I am starting my message for November to remind you all that COVID-19 is still around, and we need to maintain social distancing and follow the measures and protocols set up by health professionals and authorities to avoid COVID-19 and to keep themselves and others safe.

After waiting for a long time, the 162 Ave. access to Stoney Trail was opened in early October. This access will help in optimizing commutes to other parts of the city, reduce the load on Fish Creek Boulevard, and enhance traffic flow to and from Stoney Trail. Thank you to all who worked on this project. Please drive safely at all times.

Events

Christmas Light Contest is a-go now. This is a popular event that has been successfully running for a few years now. A huge thank you goes to Canadian Tire in Shawnessy for sponsoring this event again and donating the prizes. Please stay tuned for details. Contest rules will be posted on CECA’s website and Facebook page.

Volunteer With Us!

We have openings for volunteers on the board and on our on-going community events. We are looking for two key positions: Secretary and Planning and Development Director. Secretary is an executive position, and the Planning Director is key for developing our community park and participating in the city local area plan. If you would like to join us, please email our volunteer director at [email protected].

Talk to you next month!
