Hi Neighbours!
I’m Marcie and I’m the Traffic Safety Coordinator for the CHPH CA. I joined the board in May 2021 after spending several months volunteering on the CHPH Outdoor Activity Hub Committee. My background is in marketing and graphic design, so I put my skills to work creating flyers and other marketing assets for the Hub. I loved being a part of the community association, so when the Traffic Safety position opened up, I jumped at the opportunity to become more involved! Since taking up that role, I have worked alongside our Ward 6 representatives and other city officials to implement pedestrian and traffic safety improvements, including new crosswalks and an all-way stop. It has been so rewarding to play a small part in making our community a bit safer.
My husband, Jeff, and I moved to Coach Hill as newlyweds in 2008. We loved this community so much that when we outgrew our first home (adding a baby and a puppy) we were determined to find our next home somewhere close by and were fortunate to find it just four blocks away! We have been in our current home for nearly 12 years and are now a family of four plus two crazy dogs. In our free time, we enjoy spending time outdoors and connecting with friends and neighbours. We love to skate at the local rink and are super excited about the Outdoor Activity Hub and everything it will bring to the community we love so much.
If you have any traffic safety concerns, or you just want to reach out to say hi, please shoot me an email at [email protected]. I’d love to hear from you! Interested in becoming involved with the CHPH CA? We are always looking for passionate community residents to join the CA, either as board members or as occasional volunteers. It’s an amazing way to meet new people and it’s incredibly rewarding to play a role in strengthening our community spirit. See you at the rink!
Note from the Board: Marcie also redesigned our website, www.chph.ca, but is too modest to bring that up!
