Hello Parkdale Residents,

The next Provincial General Election date is coming up on May 29, 2023, and the Parkdale Community Association encourages all of its members to get out and vote! Alberta and its residents have gone through substantial changes since the last provincial election and the voice of the electorate is so crucial in determining the future of our province through the people that represent us.

There are a range of current issues demanding many people’s attention – such as rising cost-of-living, health care delivery improvements, and how to drive economic growth being among the largest. With the provincial parties clarifying their positions and looking for support, now is a great time to research each party’s position and your candidate’s priorities.

Parkdale belongs to the Calgary-Varsity electoral district. The Honourable Jason Copping, ECA MLA is the incumbent candidate for the United Conservative Party. As of this writing, also up for nomination are Dr. Luanne Metz of the New Democrat Party, and Angela Grace of the Alberta Party.

The Parkdale Community Association relies on support from various groups within both municipal and provincial governments to assist in the provision of the facility, programs, events, and services that our neighbourhood values. We look forward to working with great people who are dedicated to doing well for each other in our community.

Further details about the election, including voter instructions and where to vote, will become available. In the meantime, we encourage you to register as a voter with Elections Alberta, if you have not done so already, as part of making sure you are taking all the right steps in having your vote counted.
