Banff Trail’s Eco Committee Update for June

Sometimes we don’t feel like cooking after a long day at work. So why not order pizza? But what to do after you are done?

The average Canadian produces about 720 kilos (1,587 pounds) of waste per capita every year. This is twice as much as what is produced per capita in Japan, and ten times what is produced by many African countries. But together, we can make a difference.

You can recycle your pizza box! Grease on the box is okay. Just put in in your blue cart!

Does the box still have bits of food? A bit of cheese, food chunks, sauce, grease splatters? That is okay! Just put it in your green cart!

All you have to do is remove the liner and put the box in the appropriate cart!

*Note: Put your dipping sauce containers and plastic table pegs into your black carts.

Together, we can make more eco-friendly, environmentally conscious decisions to protect this Ancestral territorial land for our future generations.
