Amora

Amora started out as a PADS (Pacific Assistance Dog Society) service dog in training. When it became apparent that being a service dog wasn’t really meant to be, she was released from the program and happily adopted by her new puppy raisers!

Amora is a sweet, gentle two-year-old brindle lab who loves her family and is always making sure that everyone in her world is doing okay. Amora is now a therapy dog with Community Therapy Dogs Society and has brought smiles to everyone that she has interacted with. Her favourite time as a therapy dog is when she goes on her weekly visits to an elementary school, where she hangs out in the “chill room” with kids who adore spending some much needed comfort, cuddle, and chill time with her.

Amora adores her younger sister Aquila, a yellow lab who is currently training to become a service dog. Amora takes great pride in showing Aquila the dos and don’ts of being a good puppy, and Aquila always brings out the silly side of Amora. We can’t imagine life without her in it!

Phoebe

Phoebe is new to the community and loving every minute of it! She has really settled in well since moving to beautiful Glenbrook from an acreage near Camrose. The Glenbrook off-leash park is, of course, her favourite place. She loves getting to know all of the other dogs, kids, and owners, and visiting the park is a part of her daily life now. She also enjoys checking out the garden plot at the Greenthumbs Garden, always hoping for an occasional baby carrot or pea pod. Phoebe is turning eight this year, and while she has spent most of her life out in the country, she has quickly adjusted to the city. We are truly lucky to live in such a dog-friendly community, and she is very happy to be here. See you around!
