Happy New Year, Neighbours!
Hard to believe 2024 is upon us, I hope your holiday season was restful, and you were able to connect and spend time with those you hold dear. We are actively working on community events for the 2024 calendar and look forward to posting details, dates, and times on our social media and website – volunteers stay tuned as we will call on you to assist!
Our ice rinks are open, it is exciting to see people out and enjoying the fun and fresh air. A big thank you to all the volunteers who help make the rink happen.
We are always looking for more volunteers to help with maintaining the ice rinks through the winter months. No experience is required, as we have a couple of leaders that will be there to show you the ropes of cleaning the ice and using the fire hose to flood the rink! Please reach out if you are interested in joining this great group of volunteers.
Our 2024 casino fundraising days will be mid-April this year – please reach out to volunteer.
We held our first Kingsland School Site subcommittee meeting in late November and will have another meeting this month – reach out if you would like to be part of this subcommittee. We continue to work with our Ward 11 Office and the City of Calgary on the future of this green space. Keep an eye on the City’s dedicated webpage for the Kingsland school site and our website for updated information as we receive it – located on the Planning and Development page of our site (under resources).
