Dear Crescent Heights Residents,
I hope the summer has treated you well and you are looking forward to cooler weather and multi-colored leaves on our many trees.
There are many things to celebrate in our community and I want to acknowledge the contributions of our community members in making our parks and public spaces come alive over the summer. We had a water fight, Stampede breakfast, and a picnic in the park (thank you N2N!). We have seen goats grazing on the bluff, a flea market in the parking lot of the revitalized Tigerstedt building, and a heritage tree tour. There are too many happenings, spontaneous and planned, to list here and it is wonderful to experience how much people love where they live.
Moving into fall, we hope to see many of our community association members and residents at our AGM on September 25th. This year we will host a panel discussion on cannabis in our community after the AGM so please let us know if you are coming out. We are also hosting a community conversation about massage parlours in Crescent Heights on October 17th. If there are other topics of interest or events that you want to help plan do let us know.
Our new communications director is Sarah Case. We are looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish with someone to focus on our communications plan.
We also wish to thank Richard Lee-Thai, our CHCA summer student, for all his hard work on our community asset map and social media strategy.
