For many families September is the busiest time of year as kids go back to school with many even moving on to post-secondary. In order to ensure Alberta’s post-secondary education system is working to support the future economic well-being of the province I joined Minister of Advanced Education Marlin Schmidt to announce 406 additional technology related seats across the province. This is just one part of this government’s five-year plan to invest in Alberta’s technology sector in order to ensure that Albertans have the skills required to excel in tomorrow’s job market.
This government has also placed a priority on ensuring Albertans receive the best possible health care. Upon completion of the state-of-the-art Calgary Cancer Centre at Foothills Hospital, 160 inpatient beds, 12 radiation vaults, more than 100 chemotherapy chairs, and groundbreaking research facilities will be made available to Albertans.
