Dear Friends,

Please join me this month in honouring the thousands of courageous Canadian troops who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. In the lead up to Remembrance Day, November 11th, I hope you will wear a poppy and taking a moment to reflect on—and be grateful for—all those who have served and continue to serve our great country at home and abroad in peacekeeping missions and in conflict zones. Freedom is not free and is only possible because so many of our heroes paid a high price for it. Thanks to their selfless actions, we are able to live in a democratic society where your voice matters.

On Tuesday, November 13th from 8am-8pm, please exercise your democratic right and cast your ballot with respect to whether or not Calgary should host 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Advance voting days for this vote are on Tuesday, November 6th and Wednesday, November 7th from 11am-7pm) Please take the time to review the project information before you cast your ballot. Please visit www.calgary.ca/elections or contact my office to find your voting station for the advance vote and on vote day.

Thank you to all of those who attended my 2026 Olympic Games Special Edition Town Hall last month. These are important discussions to have; we have a moral obligation to take part in these key decisions that will ultimately define the future of our city.

At the end of this month, City Council will be finalizing the City’s operating and capital budget plan for the next four years. Our economy continues to be in a fragile state with so many Calgarians out of work and families, seniors and non-profits struggling to make it to the end of the month. I will continue to advocate for an end to tax hikes and will encourage smart investments in need-to-haves rather than nice-to-haves.

Please join me at this month’s Ward 11 Town Hall taking place on Thursday, November 15th at the Trico Centre (Room #7/8 – 11150 Bonaventure Dr SE) from 7pm-8:30pm.

I encourage you to reach out to me or attend one of my monthly Town Halls. I value your opinion and appreciate your ongoing feedback.

Respectfully yours,

Jeromy

(Ward 11 Councillor and Palliser resident)
