As far as I am concerned, the snow came way too early. Although, being a Calgarian, I should not be surprised. I dug my root vegetables between snow falls; but lost all the vegetables above ground.
Several residents attended the Board Meeting on September 26, 2019, with crime being the hot topic. Jeromy is concerned, following the last meeting Lindsay attended in Kingsland, about the mounting concerns around crime, social disorder, community planning and, namely, feeling ignored by City Hall, as experienced by community members in Kingsland. The Councillor’s Office has reached out to the community. Jeromy is trying to organize a meeting so that city members can attend and discuss services, such as policing and bylaw, with time given to take and answer questions. Stay tuned for date confirmation for this town-hall style meeting.

Several community residents attended one of the two Kingsland Conversations that were held at the Salvation Army Temple (who donated the meeting room) in October, organized by Viviana from Social Services. Donna, Cris, and Tina attended on behalf of the board; we met some new residents, which was very exciting. Viviana will compile the results and share it with the Kingsland Community in the future.
The Treasurer and Bookkeeper have been very busying organizing and preparing KCA financial records for auditors to review our financials. The draft “Financial Statement” has been received and approved by the board.
