I have completed •Child Care level one, • Standard and Advanced First Aid • Alberta Food handling courses • High FIVE Outdoor learning for children • level one ski teaching certification And can obtain a valid Clean Criminal Record Check Previous child care experience includes: Nanny for 2 families with 2 children each for a collective 2.5 years, organizing and teaching an emotional intelligence through art class (some for kids and some for adults), Winsport summer camps, ski coaching at Canyon Ski Resort and COP, daycare and of course the occasional babysitting. Previous volunteer experience with children include: drama camp, leading ceramics classes, and drumming circle. Also, volunteered this year at Sangha: a festival of medicine as the arts coordinator. There were many kids around that I was working and interacting with. In the seasonal positions -such as summer camps and ski coaching- I learned how to lead a group of children and the importance of healthy discipline In the nannying and daycare position I had learned how important it is to help them realize that they are worthy of love and belonging unconditionally and tend to their emotional needs as well as providing strong boundaries to help them develop a sense of right and wrong, and internalize self discipline. Two years ago I had volunteered with the Canadian Ski Patrol and had obtained my advanced first aid. I had received hands on experience with concussions and other types of injuries so I feel comfortable using it in practical situations – which of course, hopefully will not be required. Around that time I was also working on my Communications Major and Visual Arts Minor at Red Deer College and finished my last year with Deans and Presidents Honour Roll. My passion lies in Visual Arts; specifically painting. I have had my art on display at the Red Deer Museum, Weeds cafe, Louise Riley and Destination Art. My husband and I are a writer/painter duo looking to help serve and add value to people. Currently we are looking for work to put towards our savings for future endeavours. Hey! I am a 19 year old student currently studying at the University of Calgary, majoring in Communication and Media studies. I am from Vancouver, BC, but I am here for university. My mother and neighbour both use to have their own daycares that I was a big helping hand in, and has made me very comfortable with children. I love being around children, and really enjoy taking care of them. I use to be a competitive dancer for 10 years and would help my studio with teaching and keeping an eye on the young children as well, so if you children like to dance i’m your gal! Hi, my name is Lisa, I’m 20 years old and currently a student at University of Calgary in my 3rd year majoring in Communications and Media studies. I am originally from Vancouver, but here for school and have 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. I have tons of experience with taking care of children of all ages (including infants and toddlers),  house tidying, meal preparation,and pet care. I also have experience in caring for children with autism, specifically. I have volunteered three times for a week at a time as an “Outdoor school” camp counselor for kids in grade 3 and grade 6, was a regular after-school care babysitter for 5 children for a year and babysat regularly for multiple families until I moved to Calgary for school and have also been babysitting regularly for multiple families since I’ve moved to Calgary! I am a High School student who has lots of experience working with children.  I have volunteered for the City of Calgary recreational summer camps and have done extensive volunteer work in some Calgary childcare facilities.  My goal for the future is to be a child psychologist and work with troubled or traumatized children.  My family is very involved in the childcare field as my Mother is a Director in a SW facility and my Grandmother was an elementary teacher. Hi,   I am currently a student at the University of Calgary studying kinesiology. I am looking for a part-time job and since I love working with and around kids I thought this would be a great place to look. I grew up in a family with 4 children so I know what it’s like to have a busy household and always be surrounded by other people. That being said, I have also learnt how to be very independent by not always having my parents attention 100% of the time. I do hope to get a career that involves working with children. I have volunteered for two different organizations that help children with disabilities learn how to be active and stay active. I have a younger sibling that I babysat a lot while growing up. I also love animals, so I am more then happy to help walk dog(s) and help keep up with them. I am fluent in English and French and am comfortable helping kids with their homework if needed.
