Strathcona Crime Activity was Up in January 2024

Strathcona Calgary experienced 9 crimes in January 2024, in comparison to 4 crimes the previous month, and 2 crimes in January one year ago. The Strathcona community has an average of 3.7 crimes per month. On an annual basis, Strathcona had a total of 44 crimes as of January 2024, which is down 24% in comparison to 58 crimes as of January 2023. Total Strathcona community crimes is calculated as the sum of break & enters (dwelling, commercial, and other premises), theft from vehicles, theft of vehicles, assaults (nondomestic), commercial robberies, street robberies, and non-domestic ‘other’ violence.

Strathcona Calgary had 3 break and enter (B&E) crimes in January, in comparison to 0 B&E crimes in December and 1 B&E crime in January 2023. On an annual basis, Strathcona had a total of 6 B&E crimes as of January 2024, which is down from 19 B&E crimes as of January 2023.

Strathcona had 3 vehicle related crimes (theft of or theft from vehicles) in January 2024, in comparison to 4 vehicle related crimes in the previous month, and 1 vehicle related crime in January 2023. On an annual basis, Strathcona had a total of 29 vehicle related crimes as of January 2024, which is down in comparison to 33 vehicle related crimes as of January 2023.
