Hi Neighbors:
I hope everyone had a great holiday season and is getting through the dog days of winter. A big shout out to all the Rink Rats for their commitment to having some of the best outdoor ice in Calgary. We had a great number of new people join this year; thank you, it’s great to see the kids back out there this winter. Also, a special thanks to Dan and Tony for getting the skate shack flooring and benches completed in time, it looks great.
Keep an eye out for upcoming events! As we work through the last of the construction bills and operational budgets, we are looking to add equipment and services to finish off the facility. The usage continues to grow at the new hall, and we will continue to look for opportunities for kids and adult activities.
We are also looking for some new recruits to join the CKE Board in the coming months as some terms are getting maxed out. The Board is a great place to meet new people while helping shape the future of our neighborhood. If you are someone or know someone who can help, please consider joining; trust me, most of the “heavy lifting” is finished.
