In the blink of an eye, it is February 14, Valentine’s Day – that dreaded one day that everyone scrambles around to demonstrate their true love. Luckily, Feng Shui can save the day. In fact, with Feng Shui, every single day of the year can be one that you can have to boost your love and relationship. So, where is this love corner in your house? If you stand at your front door, point to the farthest right-hand corner at the back, the Southwest; that area is the one in Feng Shui that nourishes your love and relationships. My friend has a kitchen in her SW corner. Some have a master bedroom or a bathroom in that area. Whatever it is, there are Feng Shui measures that you can take to invite love and harmony.
What works well in this area is the earth element. Finally, you have the prefect spot for your pottery, earthenware, terracotta, crystals and Himalayan salt lamps. Put green plants in luscious clay planters – the more, the merrier. Display your collection of seashells from exotic beach vacations. Indeed, it is easy to showcase your earth element, depending on what that area of the house is – earthenware canisters on the counter if it is the kitchen and pottery dishes for the kitchen. How about a lush bouquet of pink or red flowers in a ceramic or crystal vase?
Incorporate the right colors and art images. In Feng Shui, colors play a significant role. Indeed, the colors of love are red, pink, and white. It is a perfect spot for your two red candles in crystal or clay holders. Another thing that you can do is to hang red curtains, if there are windows there – invoke the fiery passionate nature of love, or choose pink if you want romance. Perhaps, you may prefer white. Walls can be painted in those colors or taupe/beige to represent earth. Here is where you want to take note of your art as well. Use your art to represent the love you want or have– two birds, two flowers, your joyous photos as a couple. Remove those lonely images of art that hang in your love and relationship area: the infamous solitary person on the swing or that dark and dismal silhouette of that lone person in the rain. Some examples of positive art images are a pair of mandarin ducks, lovebirds, butterflies and the dragon and phoenix as they are symbols of fidelity and draw good energy and romance. Create your own love vision here, as what you see is what you draw into your lives.
Finally, make sure that your love and relationship corner has working light bulbs and minimal clutter. You can imagine what it means to have light bulbs that die and cast symbolic darkness on your relationship. Try your best to remove junk and stuff that have piled up in unruly mess. Remove or fix appliances that do not work. Get rid of dead flowers and plants. You will appreciate the fresh, energized and inspired energy that will flow and permeate your love and relationship corner.
