Hello community friends and neighbors, I am back for a chat with you all. Hope everyone is doing well, getting ready for spring, and all the beauty of a renewed Mother Earth. Garden enthusiasts, soon you will be buying seeds, scouring gardening magazines, sharing ideas, and planting. The community garden will be in full swing, and the fruits of your labor a reward indeed.

By the time this goes to print, construction on the skate change building will be well underway. An exciting time for us all. Recently our hardwood flooring at the main hall has been redone; it looks fantastic! Having lived in this community since the early seventies, one might say that I have seen it all. Looking back at our history has revealed that in about three years we will celebrate 50 years as an association. Surely it will be a time to celebrate and reflect; a time to remember those who came before us.

I want to say a very special thanks to Steve Dubois, the ice crew, and students from Mount Royal University, who organized the excellent skate lesson sessions at our rink this winter. A visit by yours truly one evening revealed a great group of community folks just enjoying our great community.

As I have mentioned before, I hope we can plan a few social events in 2020. This is an area sadly lacking in the community, and yet the potential is great Even though I have personally stepped back now, I can always help out now and then.

Signing off for now, but do remember to smell the roses.

Warm regards,

Isabell Reznik
