The Friends of Fish Creek invite you to take part in our 3rd Annual I Love Fish Creek online fundraiser! For 30 years, the Friends of Fish Creek have been bringing the park and community together with a focus on preserving and protecting this breathtaking natural area within our city. As a non-profit organization, the Friends do not receive regular funding and we rely on program fees, donations, memberships, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts to support our programs, courses, events, and activities. Our stewardship and educational programs engage people in meaningful conversation and hands-on work related to wildlife, invasive species, human-wildlife interactions, and other issues surrounding this park.
This October, we are launching our most exciting and innovative fundraiser to date – I Love Fish Creek – which will take place from October 1 to 31. Whether you are a new or long-time member, donor, volunteer, or supporter, we hope that you will help us reach our fundraising goal of $20,000! By taking part in I Love Fish Creek, you will help to ensure that future generations can enjoy this park as much as we do today, and long into the future.
Pick up your I Love Fish Creek 50/50 raffle tickets for a chance to win up to $10,000! You can feel comfortable making a wager knowing that your contribution will be used to support our conservation and environmental stewardship initiatives right here in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Bid on a wide variety of silent auction items including gift certificates, health and beauty products, and household goods and services. No matter your areas of interest, we also have a silent auction item that is perfect for you. All funds raised through the silent auction will support our programs in Fish Creek Provincial Park. You can also support this exciting fundraiser by making a tax-deductible donation of any amount. Get to Know the Night Sky
Free Family Event in Fish Creek
6:00 to 8:00 pm
Join us for an afternoon in the park where your family or group can enjoy a wide variety of interactive, guided, and self-directed activities on a variety of themes, from plants to pollinators, and from birds to beavers. At Get to Know the Night Sky, you and your family or group can warm up by the campfire, listen to a story, learn about the birds that live here year-round, hunt for wildlife tracks, enjoy a short walking tour about the park’s after-hours activities, discover local wildlife survival adaptations, find out how you can protect the park when you visit, and much more! Events will happen monthly, from February to November 2022. Event themes, dates, times, and locations will vary throughout the year.
