Scrolling down the page will take you to my social media feed which includes information about 4-year budget planning, the Olympic bid process, coyotes and other items that may be important to you.
From a strategic perspective, Council will spend the next few months preparing a 4-year budget, and it is my goal to ensure that investment in Ward 3 is carefully balanced with responsible spending. I continue working with Administration to address traffic and safety issues in Hidden Valley, with an update coming to the HVCA executive in early June. I will also be seeking out capital to leverage the $15 million provided by the provincial government for a much-needed expansion at Vivo.
In closing, one of our commitments as a Council is to evolve our communications with you in a manner that clearly outlines how your taxes and fees are paying for critical services you expect from a municipal government. I’ll also keep posting explanations for Council decisions on my social media, which is @JyotiGondek on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. These posts will be available on the Ward 3 website, and I’ll be working with the communications experts at the City to incorporate more plain language into everything we do.
