Looking Forward to a Prosperous and Joyous New Year
Dear Neighbours,
As we bid farewell to 2022 and ring in the new year, affordability remains one of the primary challenges facing Canadians from coast-to-coast.
Here in Alberta, we know that families are counting on our government to take decisive action to address the rising cost of living. That’s why we didn’t hesitate to announce an affordability package that will keep more money in the pockets of all Albertans. Your provincial government is in a position to provide this significant financial help because of our balanced budget and strong fiscal situation. Our commitment to fiscal discipline and economic growth is allowing us to provide more help for Albertans while we pay down our debt and save for the future.
We are also resolved to improve healthcare. Albertans want accountability within Alberta Health Services and want to know that a world-class health system and level of care is available when and where needed. Fixing health care includes improving EMS response times, decreasing emergency room wait times, reducing wait times for surgeries, and developing long-term reforms through consultations with front line workers. We are acting now to ensure Albertans have the world-class system they deserve for generations to come.
What issues are most important to you? I would like to hear from you. Also, please keep an eye out for signs advertising my upcoming town halls in the coming months.
I look forward to sharing an exciting and prosperous 2023 with you. Please reach out to me if I can ever be of service to you or your family.
Warmest regards,
Whitney
