The House of Commons is well into the fall session which commits the majority of my time to be in Ottawa. There is a break in November at which time I would like to present two opportunities for you to attend and give your feedback.

First, I look forward to the opportunity to update you on the work of the Conservative Official Opposition in Ottawa, our responses to key issues and bills presented by the government, and our vision for a better Canada.

I also sincerely look forward to hearing your questions, concerns and advice on what I can do to best represent you in Ottawa.

Date: Wednesday, November 14th

Start Time: 7:00

Venue: Glamorgan Community Hall (Seminar Rm)

4207 – 41 Avenue SW

If you are able to attend, please RSVP online at www.ronliepertmp.ca/townhall

In June 2014, the new runway at the Calgary Airport was opened to reduce congestion and better accommodate larger aircraft. The new longer runway was required to accommodate the increase in passengers and the larger aircraft.

The new runway has also increased the number of flights over Calgary communities that experienced less aircraft noise in the past. This issue has been brought forward to my office from concerned residents of Calgary Signal Hill.

Air traffic noise monitoring and air traffic safety is handled by Navigation Canada, a federal authority, in conjunction with the Calgary Airport Authority (YYC). Community engagement is an important role of YYC.

Therefore, on Thursday November 15th I will be hosting, along with the MLA for Calgary West, Mike Ellis, and Ward 6 Councillor Jeff Davison, an open house with the President of The Calgary Airport Authority, Bob Sartor.

You are invited to attend and provide feedback. This open house will be held at Westside King’s Church. In order to ensure adequate arrangements are made I would ask to please register at [email protected].
