St Gianna School and Auburn Bay School are close elementary school options to residents. There are also a few High Schools within a short driving distance to accommodate residents with older children.

This affluent neighbourhood is home to two associations: a Residents Association and a Communities Association. Auburn Bay Residents Association (ABRA) is mandated for property owners to pay a fee. The ABRA oversees the management of Auburn House and community entry features, while the Auburn Bay Community Association advocates for the general welfare of residents, offering voluntary membership for community involvement.

Resident Association Membership holders enjoy year-round access to the lake, offering a myriad of activities like swimming, skating, and fishing—a perfect retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Population and Insights

As of the 2021 Census by the City of Calgary, the population in private households is quite substantial with 18 090, with 67% falling in the 15 to 64 years age group. The community boasts a median total household income of $125 000 before tax, demonstrating this community’s substantial prosperity.

In 2021, 75% of private households in the community are owner households, and 25% are renter households, providing prosperous permanent housing options.

Within private households in this community, 550 residents proudly identify as Indigenous, predominantly comprising of Metis individuals (65%). The community believes in the spirit of reconciliation and acknowledges that their lives, work, and recreation take place on the ancestral lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, and the Métis Nation (Region 3) within the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
