Riverbend owes its name to its picturesque location near a graceful bend in the Bow River. Established in 1982, this relatively new community boasts three distinct landscapes—floodplain, escarpment, and upland plain—offering captivating views of the Rocky Mountains and serene wooded flood plains.

Riverbend enjoys strategic proximity to major Calgary roadways such as Glenmore Trail, Barlow Trail, and Deerfoot Trail, providing seamless access to the city’s pathway system and the scenic Bow River. Residents revel in the abundance of green spaces that offer ample opportunities for recreation and leisure.
