Ignore all the back-to-school advertising. Savour these weeks of summer but read on for information on the first few weeks of school at Queen Elizabeth.

First Day of School – September 3

The first day of school is September 3. Come to school between 8:20 and the regular start time of 8:35 am. New families should head to the school lobby for information on their children’s teachers and school routines. Returning families should receive an email with information on class placement before the Labour Day long weekend.

On the first day, come and meet the teachers, Principal Cristin Marr, and Assistant Principal, Dan Tinaburri. Coffee and baking will be served on the playground by the School Council. Stop by to chat with our Volunteer Coordinator, Rebecca Draper, to find out how you can volunteer throughout the school year. This is especially important as school swimming lessons take place in October this year and we will need many hands, especially male volunteers, to make sure the lessons are a success.

Connections

Be sure to come to the first School Council meeting on September 16. It will include vital updates on Fall and Winter events at Queen Elizabeth. Your Queen Elizabeth School Council and fund-raising society (QEEPES) are now reaching out through Facebook and Twitter.
