Meet Our New De Winton Community Association Facility Manager: Amanda Gotmy
Our new hall manager, Amanda Gotmy, is new to the position of manager but is not new to the Community Association, the community proper, or to the job.
Amanda, her husband Adam, and their two children have lived in the hamlet for 16 years and in the area for 25. She is quite involved in the comings and goings in the area and is passionate about the neighbourhood and its history. She has served on the DCA board for one term, has bartended events, and has been Greg Davenport’s go to stand-in when he was away, as well as helping with set-up and take-downs of events.
The family are avid hunters with a passion for archery, hunting for sport and for sustenance. Adam even has a cable show and a YouTube channel highlighting his passion.
“I love gardening, fishing, and swimming at the lake, camping, family time, reading, and my chickens. I graduated University after studying Floral Design and owned my own flower shop. We own a cabin in the mountains of Montana that I hope to retire to when the day comes, with a beautiful porch that I can sip wine and watch the thunderstorms roll in, one of my favorite things.”
Amanda has been doing a fabulous job organizing the hall office to suit her needs. She is a great addition to the DCA. Stop by and say hi if you have a minute!
