I hope everyone is enjoying the incredible fall we were lucky to have this year. With a new puppy in my life, I loved watching the season change while walking Onyx along the amazing pathways in our community.

Although it has been a strange year, we’ve had lots to celebrate in Beddington. We have new planters and benches thanks to the Reimagine Beddington Committee, a Before and After School Program that was able to welcome a new school year, and a designation as Alberta’s first Butterflyway thanks to passionate and dedicated volunteers. We have plans in the works for a new website to engage residents and volunteers, a community garden to build even more connections in our neighbourhood, and a revival of our community events in 2021. With these plans though, we need new volunteers. The current board has been working hard but needs new helpers with energy and inspiration to keep things moving along.

If you have a few hours to give a month, please consider joining the Board of Directors. We are looking for fun and friendly people who know and understand our community, want to help build community connections, and promote a caring and engaged neighbourhood. Beddington is an incredible community, with incredible people, and we would love to see our Board grow to incredible strength. Feel free to email [email protected] if you’d like to learn more.

Take care everyone,

Jessica Martin-Thompson, President, BHCA
