The CCA has been hosting some great events this spring. March was a very busy month with three fantastic events. We hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Night sponsored by Zeena Taghvai of RE/MAX Realty. We served snacks, played a few trivia games, and had a wonderful time. The CCA is so grateful for our volunteers.
Also, in March, we hosted a Business Fair for local businesses located in Citadel. There was so much enthusiasm and so many great deals offered at this event. The CCA will host another Business Fair in 2024.
Our last March event was a Seniors’ event with lunch and card games. It was also a great success and the CCA will offer quarterly Seniors’ events with the next ones being held on June 17, followed by September 23 and December 2. Don’t forget to save those dates!
Did someone say tennis? The CCA will be hosting adult tennis lessons starting in mid-May. Please see www.citadelca.ab.ca for more details.
On June 1, at 6:30 pm, Jennifer Wyness, City of Calgary Ward 2 Councillor, will be hosting a Town Hall at the Citadel Community Association building, located at 870 Citadel Drive NW. We hope you can join us!
Garage sale season is around the corner. Mark your calendars for June 24 and 25 for the Citadel Parade of Garage Sales. Registration is coming soon – please keep an eye on our website: www.citadelca.ab.ca.
We are currently planning for our Stampede event on July 8 and are looking for volunteers to help us with games and food. Last year, we welcomed 600 people to our event.
