The Huntington Hills Community Cleanup is back on Sunday, April 23 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm!
A partnership between the City of Calgary Waste & Recycling Services and Community Standards, the community association brings together volunteers and a variety of organizations to help residents dispose of unwanted household items for free!
There will be many vendors available to collect items such as tires, electronics, furniture, household goods, metal recycling, and more. To ensure a safe and enjoyable event, it’s important to know what to and what not to bring.
Before attending, please carefully review the full list of accepted and non-accepted items.
Ensure that there are no hazardous objects within your stuff. Ultimately, it’s up to the event organizers as to what can and cannot be accepted. Event staff harassment or any illegal dumping onsite or within the surrounding area, before, during, or after the event will not be tolerated.
Once again, the Calgary Drop-in Centre will offer limited curbside pick-up of gently used high-need furniture items. Also, neighbours can sign up to host their own event day garage sale! Contact us to add your sale to our Community Garage Sale Map by April 20. All sales must be on April 23 and have open times between 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
There will also be an onsite bottle drive and a clothing/textile fundraiser.
