The new board was elected at the April AGM on 25. Please take a moment to go to the KCA website and get to know your new board members. Some are new like me; others are seasoned members. As the new board, we welcome you.
The events page on the KCA website lists all the amazing events that we have lined up for you for summer, which began with Holi on May 27.
By the time this newsletter comes out, I am hoping you would have taken advantage of the Colours Festival – Holi, and would have had fun with the colours, food, and music. I hope you left with tie-dye clothes as memorabilia. This will be an annual event, so hope to see you next year too.
If you are like me, you must have been looking forward to the warm weather. Even if it is broken by intermittent showers, let’s hope that we will mainly have sunny weather for these three months and get to enjoy the green outdoors.
June is the month before the Stampede Breakfast at Kincora. June is also the month of membership. As always, if you haven’t purchased your membership, I encourage you to do so on the website or at the Stampede event.
Remember that your $20 membership lets you attend our Annual Stampede Breakfast, as well as all the other yearlong events in Kincora, and helps us represent Kincora to our local governments. Kincora Annual Stampede Breakfast will be held on the Kincora playfields on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, rain or shine. The cost is $5 per plate for non-KCA members, and free for KCA members.
The menu will include pancakes, beef sausages, halal sausages, oranges, bananas, granola bars, coffee, water, and juice boxes. We sincerely apologize, but gluten-free pancakes will not be available. Apart from the food, there will be a Butterfield Acres petting zoo, Girl Guides Face Painting, three bouncy houses broken up by age category, an outdoor playground, mascots, and live musicians on site.
Please come out and take advantage of this sponsored event. It is also one way to encourage our local businesses.

The KRA AGM is scheduled for June 27, 2023, starting at 7:00 pm. Attend in person at the Symons Valley United Church. For owners that are not able to attend, there is the option of submitting a proxy. Virtual attendance will be an option. The Kincora Residents’ Association welcomes additional board members.
