As we come to the end of the gardening season, here is an important tip about noxious weeds. They should not be added to green bins to prevent them from aggressively spreading during transportation and processing at the composting facility.
Instead, bag and tie up noxious weeds and dispose of them in the black bins.
By taking troublesome species to the landfill, the City of Calgary can maintain high compost quality and reduce the spread of noxious and invasive weeds in our community.
