It’s hard to believe another year has passed by, but here we are in 2022!
The RCA board of directors has been hard at work the last few weeks and has some very exciting plans on the horizon. We aren’t ready to share all of them just yet, so make sure you follow us on Facebook to keep up with all the latest news and events!
One big piece of news is that the long-awaited Ranchero Park redevelopment project is back on our books after a brief hiatus. We truly appreciate everyone who participated in the committee or even just filled out the survey as this is the info the city planners used to design the new park.
The board of directors will be reviewing the concept design with the city in early January and then we will be creating a committee of residents to oversee fundraising for this project. Please keep an eye out for the committee recruitment announcement!
Another exciting thing that is new in the RCA is that Wednesdays and Sundays are now leisure skating days at the Ranchlands rink!
We all love hockey, but for some of our youngest residents who are just getting their balance on blades, it can be intimidating to share the ice when there is a hockey game going on. To make sure everyone can enjoy the rink in a safe and fair manner, we have decided to make two days a week our designated time for leisure skating.
We apologize for any inconvenience it might cause, but hockey sticks, personal nets, pucks, and balls will not be permitted on the rink or basketball court ice on these days. The remaining days of the week are open use, so hockey is more than welcome!
