February was a busy month for the St. Rita School community. The beautiful weather allowed for more opportunity to get outside for nature-based learning and activities, which continues to be a school focus this year. We started the month with a visit from Skate Shack, which allowed all our classes to skate daily on the outdoor community rink! As a Catholic Community of Caring, our focus in February was on love and kindness, with particular emphasis on how we show those characteristics to others. February, also brought about a student Faith Day, Shrove Tuesday pancakes, and an Ash Wednesday liturgy. Now that we have begun our Lenten journey, our focus has shifted to reflecting on the sacrifices that Jesus has made for us. As we head into March, we will continue to prepare for Easter through acts of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We are looking forward to all March has to bring, including the beginning of spring!
