Hopefully by the time you read this the ice rink at the Tuxedo Park Community Centre is in great shape. After warm weather allowed our large team of great volunteers to assemble the boards that would help keep in the ice. That same warm weather continued and put a delay in getting the ice built up. Now that the cold snap has passed, we are able to say we are officially open. During the month of February, we hope to have a few events to animate the space during the weekend.
If you see one of our volunteers working, give them thanks for the hard work, as it takes a little more than water and cold to make this happen. They are typically out Thursdays and Sunday evenings maintaining the ice or after a big snowfall getting rid of the snow.
