Winter is the perfect time to do the legwork for planning your gardens for the spring! If you would like to see a community garden in your community, please join us in the two groups listed below. If you don’t use Facebook, email [email protected] to connect.
Community gardens are a great community resource that have surged in popularity over recent years. They allow residents to grow fresh, healthy produce for relatively little cost, make use of underutilized areas, increase food security, encourage interaction and friendship with neighbours, and enhance the communities where we live.
The Copperfield-Mahogany Community Association has been approached about building community gardens in both Copperfield and Mahogany. If you’re enthusiastic, love locally grown food, and want to get involved, we need your help!
For information on you how you can get involved, join your community’s group on Facebook:
