Unfortunately, as you are probably aware, there will be no McKenzie Frenzie due to COVID-19.
This will be a busy month with Preschool starting up again! Welcome to all the new children who will be attending, as well as those who are returning for another great year! There are still a few spaces open for the 3-year-old class and the 3-4 split. You can be certain we will be following all guidelines set out for the safety of everyone.
We are proud to say the Before and After School Program (BAS) is now being run by the McKenzie Lake Association. For inquiries, call the office at 403-257-1823 or email the office at [email protected] for the Office Administrator, or [email protected] for the Facility Manager.
All families attending Preschool or BAS are required to purchase a MLCA membership.
All our fall programs are starting up this month. Check our website at www.mckenzielakecommunity.com for more details. Pickleball is Monday mornings, starting at 9:30 am and running until noon. The drop-in fee is $5.00. We supply all the equipment – just come out and play!
Under normal circumstances, McKenzie Tots is held on Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm ($5 drop-in fee per family) where you can join other parents and children for visiting, coffee/tea, and play. We supply a gymnasium full of toys and a bounce house! At the time of this writing – July 31 – McKenzie Tots will be suspended until we are confident that a safe plan can be put in place. Keep posted on our website.
The 55+ Club will also be starting up again on the usual Wednesdays – a nice time for coffee, games, and visiting. Check our website for final dates.
Community Family Memberships are available for families that live in and outside of McKenzie Lake. For $25 (plus GST) you will not only be supporting the community, but you will also receive discounts on rentals and some programs. Purchase your family’s membership today on our website! Memberships are valid from August 1 to July 31.
The McKenzie Lake Annual General Meeting will be held in October. Check our website or the October Gazette for the date.
