COVID-19 Update

With the ever-changing circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NBRA is regularly updating all offerings to ensure the safety of community, neighbours, volunteers, and employees. Frighton Up Your Home- October 28, 5:30 pm

Do you have spooky, scary, or frightening decorations? The NBRA wants to see your house decked out for Halloween! Prizes will be awarded to the best decorated homes in each of the three categories. All you have to do is spook out your house, email [email protected] including, pictures of your decorations and address. Judging will commence at 5:30 pm. On October 28, the winners will be selected and will receive a basket full of goodies and a lawn sign dropped off on your front porch!

Halloween Spooktacular – October 31, 3:00 to 6:00 pm

Calling all goblins, witches, and ghosts of New Brighton! Make the NBRA your first stop this Halloween! Everyone is invited down to the Clubhouse for crafts, games, and lots of candy! Don’t forget your costumes as a photo booth will be on site!

NBRA Annual General Meeting

Please be advised that the New Brighton Residents Association is holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 7:00 pm.  This year’s meeting will be held virtually; please visit www.newbrighton-connect.com to register prior to 5:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2020.  This meeting is the perfect opportunity to gain a better understanding of NBRA responsibilities, meet the NBRA Board of Directors and ask any questions that you may.  All Residents-In-Good-Standing as of September 21, 2020 (record date), are invited to attend.  Each homeowner in New Brighton will receive a complete AGM package in the mail or via email (if an email is on file with us) near the beginning of October with complete details on this year’s meeting.  If you own a home in New Brighton and do not receive a package by October 5, 2020, please call the New Brighton Clubhouse at 403-781-6613, ext. 1 to request one.

Residents who are unable to attend the AGM and would like to submit a proxy, can do so in one of three ways:

  1. Fax it to 403-781-6611
  2. Drop it off in person at the New Brighton Club, located on 2 New Brighton Drive, S.E.
  3. Email it to the General Manager at [email protected]

Children and Adult Programs

The NBRA plans to offer indoor and outdoor Fall Programs starting September 8. The NBRA has put extra precautions in place for the programs offered at the Clubhouse in order to create a safe, worry-free environment for all.

Some of the precautions include:

– Class sizes are limited to 10 to 12 participants

– Extra sanitization protocols have been implemented to ensure that touchpoints are cleaned on a regular basis

– Physical distancing will be enforced by the instructors

The NBRA is excited to offer “One Stop Boxes” full of activities, treats, games, recipes, and tips to plan your perfect “night in”! Suitable for families of all sizes, these boxes are $25, with two types available: Quality Time and Family Fun Night boxes! Both types of boxes will explore a new exciting theme each month… all you have to do is place your order before the deadline and get ready to unbox your night of fun! The best part about NBRA “One Stop Boxes” is that, unlike other box services, no subscription is necessary… you can just order the box for the month(s) you desire! Quality Time Boxes are perfect for date night with your spouse or loved one! These boxes include all supplies and instructions for 3 activities and 2 games for the theme of the month, as well as fun dinner and drink recipes to give a try!

Family Fun Boxes are great entertainment for all ages, as all of the activities are adaptable.  These boxes include all supplies and instructions for 3 activities, 2 games, a movie (from vendor of your choice), and delicious movie treats for the theme of the month.

Tool Shed

The Tool Shed is full of over 60 tools to meet your landscaping, home improvement, and automotive needs! For hours, please check the website (newbrighton-connect.com) and Facebook (Newbrightonclub) page to verify current hours. This is a free service for all New Brighton residents over the age of 18. Residents who also have a NBCA membership can enjoy even more “perks” from the Tool Shed! A 1-year NBCA membership can be purchased at the NBRA front desk during hours of operation (Monday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm) for $20/family membership or $15/individual membership.
