Happy New Year!
Before moving ahead, I want to share some highlights from the 2023 Christmas Craft Market. Generous donations from the shoppers that came through the doors raised $500 cash along with four bags of treats, toys, and pet accessories! The Calgary Humane Society was grateful for the support. The giving continued with the Veterans Food Bank receiving grocery bags of much-needed food items for their shelves. Thank you to all the shoppers that supported our local market vendors. I am grateful for the volunteers that helped make the CMCA Christmas Craft Market run smoothly. Stephanie, Emma, Brynn, Sarah, Alex, Tom, and Lexi – I couldn’t do it without you!
The casino dates have been drawn by AGLC and Canyon Meadows Community has been assigned February 16 and 17, 2024. Our casino will be held at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino. We require six volunteers for each shift – two shifts each day, as well as the night shifts. We also require six additional volunteers in the count room. If you can volunteer, please check out the online signup form on the CMCA website (cmca.ca) or call/email me directly and I will happily help sign you up.
2024 will be another busy year around the neighbourhood. Your board of directors is busy planning many events, programs, and facility improvements that will continue to make Canyon Meadows the best place to call home. Stay connected with us through our website, social media, and newsletters.
