Updates on the 2023 Stampede BBQ
We are looking forward to warmer days and seeing what our director of events and event volunteers have in store for this summer! Unfortunately, the Cedarbrae Community Centre will no longer be hosting the 2023 Stampede BBQ. Instead, we are planning to host more family-friendly, community focused events that will promote social opportunities for Cedarbrae residents and businesses. We appreciate your understanding and feedback as we plan for future events and programs. Spring Drop and Go Bottle Drive
Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Come to the community centre parking lot, pop the trunk, and let us take care of the rest! Proceeds collected go towards the Cedarbrae Community Centre for future events and programs.
Community Carnival: Cedarbrae Celebrates Chloe
Saturday, June 3 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm
Join us for this special summer event as we fundraise for Chloe and her family! This free-admission, family-friendly event will feature face painting, carnival games and prizes, a petting zoo, snow cones, concession food, and more.
In March of 2021, eight-year-old Chloe (born and raised in Cedarbrae) was diagnosed with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute leukemia, a rare form of white blood cell cancer. The aggressive treatment plan has required frequent hospital visits and constant administering of medication, which means that Lisa, Chloe’s mom, has been unable to work since the diagnoses. We are proud to announce that all money raised from the Community Carnival will go towards Chloe and her family for the costs associated with her treatment and recovery.
