Happy September!
I know I am not alone when I say that the summer months flew by! I cannot believe that it is September already. I hope that everyone has been enjoying the warm weather.
Also, school starts this month for most families, giving some parents a much-needed break. Please be careful of the extra school traffic around the CKE.
We have had lots of changes on the board recently, as well as some shifting around of positions of current members. We are very grateful for our new volunteers who have joined our board and filled some much needed positions. So I wanted to say thank you and introduce our new members: Matthew Watt – Treasurer, Debra McArthur – Membership Director, Doug McNeill – Planning Director, Lance Titchkosky – Director at Large, Jim MacLean – Director at Large.
We still have a couple openings on the CKE board. If you are looking for a way to make a difference in our communities, joining the board is a great way to do so. If you would like to find out more about the roles that are available, please email us at [email protected].
A reminder that our CKE community hall is a fabulous place to host events! It can accommodate corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries, social events, and more! It is available for rent on an hourly or daily rate, so please get in touch with Jen at [email protected] if this interests you.
CKE community association is proud to offer an amazing community centre, programs, activities, services, and hall facilities for both community members and neighbouring residents.
