It is May already!
Hello Evergreen residents, I hope you are enjoying the mild weather. Hard to imagine that we are in May already! The Easter Egg Hunt was held on April 8, and it was successful thanks to the group of passionate volunteers and the participation of families from Evergreen and the surrounding areas. It was a last-minute call to the community to have a resident lead the event and a group to help the event leader out as we do not have an event director at the moment and this event needs a volunteer group. So many people stepped up and helped out! A huge thank you goes to Evergreen Shoppers Drug Mart for the continuous sponsorship of this event.
I would like to share with you notes about upcoming events and programs.
CECA is partnering with Calgary Foothills Soccer Club for the grassroots soccer program put on by Foothills that will be running from May 6 to June 29.
CECA is organizing a Family Skate Day on Sunday, June 11 from 10:15 to 11:45 am. The location of the event is Cardel Rec South, #100-333 Shawville Blvd SE, Arena #4. This event is free for members and $10 per family for non-members (two adults and up to three children).
We will have our Community Cleanup and Parade of Garage Sale in June.

CECA is looking for volunteers to fill two key positions, Recreation/Event Director and Membership Director. The required commitment from the board volunteer is around six to eight hours each month.
