Hope all had good times with family and friends. On behalf of the Calgary Evergreen Community Association (CECA) Board of Directors, we wish all residents of Evergreen health, good wishes, and success for the upcoming New Year.
Last year and even with the COVID-19 restrictions and the adverse effects on our life, our team was able to run some key events including the annual community cleanup, where we served hundreds of area residents. Our monthly meetings were organized and will continue to be online for the time being.
We are putting plans together for events and programs for this year. Please check our website www.myceca.ca for details. You can also check our social media channels. The ice rink is running again thanks to the great team of dedicated volunteers and residents who always make things happen. Help keep and maintain the rink. Plans to put lights up for the ice rink are ongoing. To help with the costs of the flooding, ice maintenance, and installing lights, we need donations! If you or your business would like to donate towards the ice rink, please email [email protected].
We hope you enjoyed the Christmas lights contest last month! This event is very popular, and it had been running annually for a few years now. A huge thank you goes to Canadian Tire in Shawnessy for sponsoring this event.

Finally, I would like to thank and acknowledge the Board members and associated volunteers of CECA. The Board roles are volunteer based and volunteer contribution is valuable. Thank you again for the great efforts to building and fostering a strong collaborative community.
