Several Glenbrook community members have expressed an interest in volunteering at Glenbrook School. The principal, Kathy Andrews, and the staff would warmly welcome volunteers from the community to contribute in ways that support students at school and on field trips.
There are several field trips planned in the spring and our volunteer support would really be appreciated. Also, there are many students at the school who are new Canadians and are adopting English as a Second Language. We can support them as they develop their proficiency in English and become more comfortable living in Canada.
We are considering a number of ways to volunteer as a group depending on numbers, availability, and interests, as well as the school’s needs. This will also add opportunities to cultivate new friendships with members of our community.
