Although pandemic uncertainty lingers, this holiday season may allow for many families the potential of gathering together to mark milestones, break bread, and create memories.
There are many reasons for hope and signs of renewal.
For weeks now, travel at the US border by land or ferry has reopened for non-essential purposes, which has allowed many family reunions and allows many snowbirds to resume heading to warmer climes.
Calgary’s new city council is working on climate-focused initiatives.
And for those with lengthy Christmas shopping lists, there is once again the option of shopping local and supporting Calgary businesses and artisans at their brick-and-mortar locations or by attending a number of in-person markets hosted in the city.
Also consider the gift of time, and perhaps now is the time you may ponder joining the Haysboro Community Association. We are a small but mighty group, and the door is open for more people to join the board for our monthly board meetings. There a number of leadership positions open with gentle time requirements, and it never hurts to check out our video conference meetings to get a sense of what it’s all about.
As ever, the HCA board and membership wish you and your loved ones best wishes for the month and carry forward optimism for a bright 2022!
