Happy spring!
We are excited that spring has arrived. We have been outside looking for all the signs of spring and rejoicing in the warm sunshine. We have spotted robins, crows, ladybugs, flies, green grass, dandelions, and the leaves starting to flush out.
We have been investigating all kinds of animals for the past several weeks. We have each chosen an animal and then decided where it might live and researched what it eats and what it needs to live. We are working on dioramas to create a habitat for each of our animals. Some children have chosen pets, some rainforest animals, some ocean animals, and some desert animals.
We are also so excited to be planning our Mother’s Day Teas and planning a Spring Concert with our neighbors Trico LivingWell. We are practicing our songs with our music instructor, Peter Exner. He has been working with us on songs to present to everyone. We are making cards and surprises for our special moms. We are excited to invite them to our classroom for tea and yummy treats!
We have hosted two open houses and we were thrilled to meet new young families that have moved into the neighbourhood.
