Hi,
Hard to believe that we are halfway through summer. It certainly will be one to remember with all the extreme weather we have been experiencing.
Community Clean Up
Our Community Clean Up this year is Sunday, September 12, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at 2323 Palliser Drive. This is an opportunity for community members to get rid of unwanted household items and organic waste. This event is sponsored by the City of Calgary, in conjunction with the Palliser/Bayview/Pumphill Community Association. This service is free of charge for all community residents, so bring us your stuff.
If you are interested in volunteering for this community event, please email [email protected].
October Civic Election
The upcoming election promises to be a pivotal one for Calgary. With six members of our current City Council, and the mayor’s seat up for grabs, we can anticipate big changes at City Hall. We here at the PBP Community Association will be doing our best to keep you informed about the platforms and opinions of the Ward 11 council candidates. We plan to have questions for candidates posted on our website early September. We will do our best to throw them off their stump speeches and gain some insight into their leadership style and intentions. Stay tuned.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and thanks for reading the PBP Community Newsletter,
Susan Russell
