What Events Would You Like to See at PBP?
On February 20, we hosted the Ward 11 Town Hall at PBP with a packed house. This is an example of adult-oriented programming at PBP. We also host several children’s events each year. We would like to hear from you regarding the types of events you would like to see in our community, or the types of initiatives we can support to build community. Let us know by contacting the CA at [email protected].
City of Calgary Engagement
City council is reviewing the new Guidebook for Great Communities (https://www.calgary.ca/PDA/pd/Pages/Current-studies-and-ongoing-activities/Guidebook-for-Great-Communities.aspx) in April. This document has been written to bring more clarity to the development process within the city. For example, communities to the east of us are going through a process to create a future vision for land use and redevelopment in their communities (Heritage Communities Local Growth Planning project). Check out the City’s “Engage” web pages for opportunities to comment on these types of projects.
Support Local Stores
Remember to support our local retailers at shops in Glenmore Landing as well as retail in adjacent communities in order to keep them close by. J Webb, for example, has recently expanded their store including adding a growler bar for craft beer. Purlieu Modern Bistro, close to PBP in Oakridge, opened last year to great acclaim and I can confirm the food is delicious!
