I would just like to highlight what has been happening/going on behind the scenes this past month, in no particular order:

A shoutout to all of the casino volunteers from our last casino—you helped us raise $79,593.01! Extra special thanks to Gord L. for being our lead and organizer for this event. Thank you all for your support!

Thank you, Guylaine C., for your years of service to our board. Best wishes for your future endeavours! Do feel free to rejoin us in the future if your schedule permits.

Thank you to Discovery Preschool for providing bubble wands for Neighbour Day. Thank you, Danny Greene, for sponsoring the bouncy castles for Neighbour Day. Thank you to Richmond Road Safeway for providing food at our Community Cleanup event. Thank you, Gayle F., for providing pizza for our volunteers. Thank you all for contributing to this wonderful community that we live in!

Thank you, Sue H. and Chantal O., for organizing a wonderful Community Cleanup event! It was great to see how many items were directed to the Free Store and to the Drop-In Centre collection.

As we get closer to the implementation of the payment requirement for restricted parking, we will remind Council of the impact it will have on our residents as we have a lot of institutional pressure from MRU.

A land use redesignation is underway to change some of the Richmond Green Regional Park space into protected park space. We will be reminding Council that out of what is currently a 52-acre regional park, only 5.4 acres will be specifically designated as park space, since Water Resources has claim to, and priority over, the remaining park space. We will continue to oppose the sale of the baseball diamonds and ask that those 5.5 acres be guaranteed as park space as well.

The main hall remains closed due to a structural failure in the floor joists. A final engineering report has been generated by the City and our insurance provider is reviewing the report to determine if they will be compensating us in any way. Thank you for your patience.
