Hello Neighbours,
I am certain that our rink is going strong under the watchful eye of Steve Dubois and the ice team. Always a fun place to meet community friends, I must say. I am still hoping that maybe we can host a Chili Cook off at our mini hall. We could compete for the coveted prize of Chili Champ 2024!
Our main hall is still closed, but I certainly hope we will re-open this year sometime. Many people in the community have asked me about this situation, I feel awkward not being able to give a definitive answer.
I remember when community halls were the hub of activity so to speak. I do realize that things change but come on everybody, we can do better here in Rutland Park!
I see no one has stepped up as Social Director. This does not mean you will have to do it all alone. A Social Committee can be formed, and new volunteers usually get on board. Please do think about it and email the board if you can serve. I try to pencil my name in for one or two events if I can.
Well, enough said for this month. Hope your year has started off well. Take care of yourselves, and as always do take time to smell the roses.
