Greetings and Happy New Year to all our Springbank Hill community residents! We hope that you have been able to enjoy a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season with your friends and family and that you are now ready to embrace the new year.
The winter season is here, and our volunteers are busy preparing and operating our two seasonal ice rinks. If you haven’t had the opportunity yet we encourage you to visit one of these rinks with your children and enjoy a family skating session. And we welcome your feedback about these facilities, what you like, and what ideas you may have for us to consider as part of our efforts to continually improve our facilities and services.
We do have some good news to report. We recently signed a temporary a Temporary Use Agreement with the city to give us more control over our rink facility in Montreux. As a result, we will be proceeding with the preparation of initial design concepts for a potential future expansion and redevelopment of this facility. So, stay tuned for more details as they become available.
Another reminder that we continue to look for volunteers to join our community association in various committee opportunities. We also have openings on our board of directors, and in particular we have an opening for a newsletter editor. Simply reach out to us to discuss further.
