We Are Looking for You!
Are you a numbers person? Do you know what an Airwalk is? Do you have a green thumb? Then join the West Springs Community Association and make a positive impact!
Volunteering in your local community is a great way to learn what is happening around you, have your voice heard, and make a positive impact on those around you. This is also an opportunity for you to introduce your skills in a positive way to your community.
We have a number of volunteer positions open and are looking for you (or someone you know) to sign up.
Opportunities Made Just for You:
• Board Treasurer – Are you a numbers person? If you have an accounting or finance background, we have an opening on our board for a Treasurer. This is your chance to showcase your number management skills for only a few hours a month.
• Community Garden Coordinator – Do you have a green thumb or enjoy working outdoors? Then come volunteer with some amazing gardeners to help coordinate our community garden (which grows lots of food – much of which is donated to the Calgary Food Bank each year)!
• Community Skatepark Coordinator – Do you want to help the “youngins” have a great place to spend part of their summer? Or maybe you want to learn what an Airwalk is? Then sign up to help for a couple of hours to bring water and be a point of contact for this year’s pop-up skatepark.
• Dog Pawty Coordinator – Are you a pooch lover and want to see them have their own pawty? Then join us in coordinating this wonderful event. You can almost guarantee many sloppy smooches from happy pups.
• Building Safer Communities Director – Do you have ideas for making our community safer, or just want to get involved with making it safer? Then join our BSC committee and have your voice heard!
• Family Ski/Tube Night Coordinator – Are you a ripper or a shredder? Or perhaps you just enjoy being on the hill with family and friends? Then sign up to help coordinate this great family night event.
