Our community pantry was created due to needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic. First with a simple box and a sign to help families struggling with schools, daycares, and workplaces being shut down. Then it quickly became apparent that food insecurity was more prevalent than we realized. Our pantry has grown to better serve the needs of the residents in our community. This grant will allow us to fill in some gaps and better serve our community in a barrier-free, accessible way, and create volunteer opportunities to help each other.
