Here we are. Nine months of learning, friends and growth behind us and a busy final month of June ahead. For our students in grade six, June is a month of demonstrating our learning and looking ahead to the changes of grade seven. The start and end of June are packed with school activities and popsicles.

Appreciation in the Air

On June 7th, our grade five and six AMA school patrollers will have their cold mornings and late afternoons rewarded with a day trip to Heritage Park. They will be packing into a bus for a day of fun, hot dogs and popsicles. The next day, the school will recognize the important contribution of all our great parent volunteers at the volunteer tea. If you have helped out at the school this year, look out for more information on this fun event and be sure to attend. There will be tea, coffee, goodies, but probably no popsicles.

Provincial Achievement Tests and Celebrations

In June our grade six students will be demonstrating their learning at the Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT). Check for information coming home with your students about these exams. Also, if you have a child in grade six, keep an eye out for information on the grade six celebrations in June.

Sports Day

The June sports classic will be held on the 25th this year. This much anticipated event relies on lots of parent help so be sure to take advantage of this wonderful final opportunity for you to volunteer and see your children at play. Popsicles may also be involved.
